Emma Chamberlain and Jackson Wang Played With Diamonds And Jumped On The Bed In Preparation For Fashion’s Biggest Night.
When getting ready for the first Monday in May, it’s wise to have precious things on hand. For one, plenty of gorgeous jewelry and watches. And, two, a trusting friend.
On Monday afternoon, first-time attendee Jackson Wang had both. The multi-hyphenate talent got ready, and, lucky for him, fellow Cartier ambassador and veteran Vogue livestream correspondent Emma Chamberlain had come to help. True to form, she immediately put any pre-event jitters to rest: “On a high-stress day like today, sometimes what you need . . . is a little jump on the bed to feel free,” she said with her signature savoir-faire charm before the duo tried on some exquisite Cartier pieces: a Panthère de Cartier brooch in white gold set with 52 sapphires and emerald eyes; a pair of dazzling diamond earrings; a striking Santos-Dumont watch decorated in burgundy lacquer and sleek leather band. As each iconic piece glittered in the afternoon sun, the pair seemed to relax, their nerves softened in a blur of diamonds, sapphires, and excitement for the evening ahead.
Despite his calm demeanor, Wang wanted to know what to expect. “What’s the experience like?” he asked. “The truth is, it’s just a fun dinner with cool people, that’s it,” Chamberlain assured. “I will help you. You’re gonna have a great night.” As the two looked out over the Manhattan skyline clad in matching robes, the Cartier diamonds sparkled in Chamberlain’s ears. “This is a vibe. It’s kind of tempting to just wear the robe,” she said. Wang jokingly agreed: “This is how we're gonna go tonight.”
